Perfect is a strong word, but Killing Eve is a series that merits those. ... Everything that worked so well in season one is back in essentially the same form, and it’s working again.
Killing Eve is still a fantastic and well-made show that is not only worth celebrating for any number of its own obvious merits, but worth embracing for taking a familiar set up and crafting it into a series that is also refreshing and new.

Killing Eve is a helluva good time, it’s already more interesting than many of its genre peers, and the first season illustrates a self-awareness essential for its survival. The show may follow a formula, but there’s nothing routine about it.
Season 4 has taken several steps back, once again separating Eve and Villanelle and putting them into different stories for the bulk of the first three episodes that were available to screen for critics.
After a brilliant first season, Killing Eve lost some of its mojo in the second, and seems more listless in the third. Built around a game of cat and mouse between an office-bound MI6 investigator and a mercurial assassin, it continues to offer darkly amusing moments thanks to its splendid cast, but at this point, the main thing the show seems to be killing is time.
Once fresh and thrilling, Killing Eve has grown stale and predictable. It’s 2020, and phones still click and whoop when texts are sent. The humour is weary.
Jodie Comer’s fantastic performance is the only reason this show gets a 6/10. Season one had poor writing and an abundance of logical plot holes, but the novelty of the characters — mostly Villanele— carried the show. Unfortunately, this novelty wears off in season 2 and they do a terrible job developing the remaining characters. The poor writing becomes unbearable. Such a shame really, the show could have been so much more...
The 1st and 2nd seasons were great thanks to Jodie Comer, but quickly fell off a cliff with season 3 and 4.
On top of that is the fact they use the same soundtrack for the entire show, lesbian bait throughout, and killed off my favourite character in a typical lesbian tragedy cliche.
I will give it marks for touching on Antisocial Personality Disorder/Sociopathy/Psychopathy, and although most terms are interchangeable... there are key differences, and about halfway through season 1-2 they decided just to call a blatant sociopath something they are not (psychopath)
I wish shows would just stop making things they really have no concept of understanding.
SandraOh is probably the worst female actress I've ever had to endure. She plays a lesbian role and you only see her kiss a woman twice in four seasons. From one episode to the next and sometimes one scene to another Sandra will have vastly different motivations or behaviors you start to feel like she has multiple personality disorder. I finally started being able to enjoy the show by skipping every scene that included horrible acting from Sandra o h.
I've also got to say that the show is flawed from the core. The whole plot revolves around a very childish interpretation of what it takes to be a spy. Hilarious that the writers think you can take a girl with family problems and "teach"her to be an expert killer by just making her go out and attempt to kill someone alone. It never shows any type of formal training or even informal training of any kind. Where do these girls learn expert level hand to hand combat, advanced knife skills and everything else it takes to murder people and evade detection.Local Police would have solved any one of their "jobs"In a few days tops. But you're telling me that even CIA, FBI, & MI6 have not been able to track down these girls who are essentially teenage runaways that committed murder.
Another waste of my life, thanks Netflix
