The most exciting thing about The Vampire Diaries is that it regenerates itself every season. It's not a stupid high school vampire love story which in 2009, I think, everyone thought. It's about survival and family. Every finale and every premiere (in seasons so far) always has an exciting twist or a new dynamic that is exciting for the viewers. Ties from the past still manage to weave themselves into Elena's present and who knows what the future will bring for her? Incredibly exciting and a promising season ahead. So far it has been as awesome as I've imagined. New creatures, epic storyline, awesome characters, great duels, intense suspence, sweet romance...I can go on all day. TVD 5 is perfect like its predecessor seasons

Just when most people thought the series couldn't get any better because nothing new can be employed to the plot, the minds behind the story line of The Vampire Diaries have become more genius. I love this show, but this season tells me that they ran out of ideas and told all the interesting stories. Kind of like they are trying to still be on TV but I think it is time or improving the story and make it more interesting or call it of after this season.

I hate to say this. I used to like this show. I don't know if it's the writers, producers or directors, but they keep throwing random storyline like travelers, make Caroline even more annoying than she used to be, have Bonnie experience both sides crap and toy with Matt as if he's a uselessI hate to say this. I used to like this show. I don't know if it's the writers, producers or directors, but they keep throwing random storyline like travelers, make Caroline even more annoying than she used to be, have Bonnie experience both sides crap and toy with Matt as if he's a useless human. It is not the worst season (ahem *3*). I don't even know where the direction this show is going anymore. At least, they made Stefan awesome this season. I also feel sorry for Damon having to deal with babysitting.… Expand
