It’s nuts, in a benevolent and entertaining way that makes it easy to set aside your higher neural functions. ... Sniping, gas mains, therapy and problematic sex are pulled into the mix along with the frequent explosions, and everything culminates in a ludicrous, delicious showdown.

Trigger Point has lots of tension, and a fair amount of action. What it doesn’t really have is much character development or an intriguing central plot. But you try to look away as Lana tries to defuse bomb after bomb after bomb.

It’s great fun as long as you set your preposterousness levels to “high”. Go in thinking CSI: Peckham or Line of Bomb Duty or Bomby McBombface, rather than The Wire But With Actual Wires or Breaking Explosively Badly and you’ll enjoy yourself a lot more.
