With its functional 2D graphics, its independent developer, and a design that favors gameplay over graphics, Air Command 3.0 is clearly one from the old-school.
Expect to get some enjoyment out of Air Command 3.0, especially if you're tired of Solitaire.
Will it appeal to a wide number of players? Probably not. But it is a game that flight sim fans should give a try, if for no other reason that to round out their experience within the genre.
It's an exciting exercise that's made boring and ordinary on purpose. On that count, the game does a really excellent job.
It's always edge-of-the-seat stuff and is guaranteed to put anyone off becoming a real ATC operator.
If you approach Air Command as a three dimensional traffic-routing puzzle then it's a lot of fun.

Summary An air traffic control simulator that puts you in the seat of an air traffic controller at a major international airport (or one that you create using the Airport Editor). Using your radar screen, you must direct all air traffic to and from your area, as well as grant permission for takeoffs and landings.
