Amazing Ants is a fun game with great levels, controls, and graphics. Unfortunately, the gameplay suffers from the amount of ads and the constant need to accumulate enough coins. I really wish this app was a couple of buck and had no ads, with cheaper items in the store. However, I still recommend this app since the levels and gameplay are so good.
When Amazing Ants works, it works well, but these types of hang-ups can grate on one's nerves a little bit. Some can be surpassed, although it requires a certain level of patience with the game; whether you'll have that much patience with its inconsistencies and nuisances is another matter entirely.
By and large, Amazing Ants is a solid puzzler. At the same time, we can't help but feel déjà vu each time we fire it up, largely because we've seen and played titles like this before on touchscreen devices.
There's a decent puzzle-platformer in here, but it takes too long to grind out the game's currency to unlock later level sets and see it all.
