Disney Speedstorm establishes a very interesting, fun and promising structural base. If it is not a revolution in the genre, it knows how to rely on the rich universe of Mickey's house IPs and does so in a pleasant, immersive and seductive way, leaving to be seen whether, in the near future, the business model adopted here will be adequate (or not) for the platform and audience to which it is dedicated.
Speedstorm has truly conveyed the Disney-Pixar essence into a videogame. Good first season, even though the progress in game and the rewards system lack that Disney magic.
With a potentially boundless universe of characters, worlds and more to tap into, Disney Speedstorm could conceivably provide fans of the House of Mouse with a steady diet of endless Disney themed content to get stuck into. Gorgeous to look at super satisfying to play, Disney Speedstorm's pay to win mechanics aren't sufficiently weighty to substantially detract from everything that it does right and for fans of both all things Walt Disney and kart racing, Disney Speedstorm will likely prove to be an irresistible proposition that could largely mitigate the grind of its longer term prospects.
Disney Speedstorm is certainly “on a roll” with its electrifying stages and game design, but it’s certainly not “undefeated.” The confusing microtransactions pull it down and become an annoying distraction to what’s great in this kart racer. While a love for the Disney product is certainly present in Disney Speedstorm, there are a few annoying aspects of the game to be mindful of.
Disney Speedstorm is a solid racer that ties a number of franchises together in one fun experience. Seeing fan favorites share a racetrack is a thrill, however, a variety of issues stop this from reaching the greatness of its influences. The restrictive nature of its character selection and the confusing number of currencies hinders the enjoyment. Mix in the performance issues and this racer narrowly misses the podium.
Disney Speedstorm is a fun game that we're glad to see has quite a bit of quality to it. There are some reservations about how well the free-to-play monetisation will work as we move forward, but looking just at the game itself, it’s not a bad time. There is room for this title to become very popular, especially if the right additions are made. At the very least, this can become a fun game for friends. If you're a Disney fan, it's a good way to mash together some of your favorite old movies and battle it out on the racetrack.
This is soulless, unimaginative and stupid in its design and just a way for Gameloft and Disney to try to make a quick buck on an ever-growing sub-genre.
This game, given you put in the effort to learn it, will blow you away. It's incredible and EASILY the best kart racer on modern consoles! ABSOLUTELY don't sleep on this! It does a lot of uniue and original stuff to make it different from Mario Kart and better imo! Seriosuly. The fact it's a live game means itll get better with time etc. So more and more content! Great stuff!
As Gatcha games go it isn't that intrusive and I haven't given up on it yet cause I have reached that free to play barrier that most Gatchas games have, but I will say this the limited tracks are hurting my enjoyment. It looks nice and even when there are a lot of cars around me you don't lose too many frames. That being said the online component is a struggle. Some matchmaking is insanely bad (I was level 5 having people 10 levels higher) and sometimes it does struggle to find enough players to make a match, but overall if you are a fan of Kart Racers and/or Disney you could do worse than this game. I am enjoying **** now!
Recenzja #SzybkaRecka | Kluczowe zalety: doskonale pasujące remixy utworów Disneya podczas wyścigów, darmowa gra z cross-platform i cross-progress - na jednym koncie grasz na czym chcesz, z kim chcesz, dynamiczna, rozrywkowa i satysfakcjonujaca rozgrywka zarówno single jak i multiplayer. | Istotne wady: przesadzone mikrotransakcje, pay 2 win, pay 2 progress, słaba optymalizacja, irytujące i powtarzalne umiejętności użytkowe.
Feels pretty slow, the main boosting mechanics feel boring and non engaging.
Never mind the fact that unlocking characters is almost impossible if you don’t pay for them.
Nice graphics, Disney/Pixar heroes, but terrible matchmaking. Lvl 7 joins lvl 25+...gangbang like hell. Disbalance of characters, Wazowski very OP atm. Even for 2nd or 3rd place yr points r repeatedely deduced because of few players and game fills up the match with bots. F2P (P2W) style stinks from every corner, like by Gameloft's Asphalt. Millions of various shards for leveling yr heroes, daily and weekly events which you must to complete. You gonna love it for awhile like all F2Ps. And then you reach the "point of stuck". You cant progress at all and you begin to hate it. You have to w8 for new golden pass challlenges or (I bet it will be there in full game) pay for upgrades directly... Plus poor technical state. 5 crashes per 2 hrs on PS5 is nothing rare.
SummaryDrift into the ultimate hero-based combat racing game, set on high-speed circuits inspired by Disney and Pixar worlds. Master each character's unique skills on the racetrack and claim victory in this thrilling arcade racing experience from the creators of the Asphalt series!
