  • Summary: Asphalt Urban GT combines simulation realism and arcade action for the Nintendo DS. Jump in a wide range of licensed high-performance cars and hit tracks from all over the world. Win races, collect prize money, and purchase new rides and tweak current ones. Watch your progress turn-by-turn on the bottom display of the Nintendo DS. Spy on opponents and gauge when to take risks and when to proceed with caution. Asphalt Urban GT features more than thirty options for tuning, engine maintenance and bodywork. Players can race against each other through each twisting turn. Single Race allows up to four players to race head-to-head, while Championship mode allows up to four players to hit some of the championship tracks from the solo Evolution mode. Cop Chase is a two-player cat and mouse mode in which the cops attempt to capture and ?lock on? their opponent for five seconds to claim victory. [Nintendo] Expand

  1. It's like "Need for Speed Underground" meets "Burnout," and it's portable on the Nintendo DS! We highly recommend it.
  2. Asphalt Urban GT doesn't participate in much of the innovation that makes the DS special, but oddly enough, it's still a fun racer that offers some very cool multiplayer features.
  3. The gameplay is a bit primitive but still fun and challenging. My only regret is that the dual screen wasn’t used more prominently in the game. As it is, graphics not withstanding, this game could have been released for the GBA.
  4. I would love to drive an indestructible car that could never, ever flip in my ordinary, everyday life, but when we play games, we like to break things. After playing some Asphalt Urban GT, you’ll just want to break your Nintendo DS.

This game is the best. The graphics are awsome, the cars are great and its like need for speed and burnout almost combined. You should buy this game if your looking for a racing game. Its not to hard as underground is and its very easy to control. Expand

I truly liked this game because it's just fun. Most racing games have just crazy good handling like you have a super car. This game isn't like that. It's more realistic. But sometimes the handling can be pretty bad and make the car hard to drive. Some cars handle nice while others are a nightmare. Mostly the cars that are farther in the drift side of the meter. I like my cars to not slide like it's on ice. Other than that there is not that much to complain about. I personally would recommend picking it up if yuo just like to drive really sweet cars because the AI doesn't ever even challenge you pretty much what. Expand

Rather bizarrely, Gameloft made a complete mess of the sequel, making this version STILL the best racer on the DS, it's got a higher framerate, has decent and inoffensive music, and actually has a proper drift mechanic. The sequel - Oh dear. Asphalt 2 was clearly created with an EA games mentality, ridiculous handling, jerky framerate, utterly AWFUL music, and embarrassing sponsorship of the Pussycat Dolls (presumably for teenage virgins to exited about). The game mechanic has been completely wrecked, and the physics are like the Java phone games (crud). If you like driving games, you could do worse, just remember that this does not apply to the massively inferior Asphalt 2. Expand

I played it through to the end and never picked it up again. The turbos just made the game too easy. No challenge at all, even on the hardest difficulty. Expand
