  • Summary: Dementium: The Ward tells the tale of a man who awakens to find himself alone in a mysterious, derelict hospital that is frozen in time. Confronted by the deadly, grotesque surgical experiments that wander the halls, a series of challenging puzzles and a cast of peculiar characters, he must face his deepest fears, unlock the mysteries of the hospital, and escape with his life. A completely new experience on the Nintendo DS, Dementium promises to creep you out with gory visuals and bone-chilling audio that brings the world screaming to life. [Gamecock] Expand

  1. Dementium is definitely easy to interact with, and it flows quite nicely.
  2. Dementium: The Ward is a very noteworthy title within the Nintendo DS portfolio, not just for being a good game in the first person action genre -not so crowded in the console-, but also for its interesting plot and an intriguing, full of tension atmosphere.

The FPS genre is extremely rare on the system which means that the amount of quality titles is even rarer. Dementium sets a new standard on the system for presentation and visuals as well as delivering the first truly engrossing horror title for Nintendo’s micro-console.
  4. Dementium: The Ward demonstrates that you can make a good survival horror game even on the Nintendo DS. The graphics are impressive, really fluid, and the controls work great (but only if you don't play for too much time). The game seems to be a little too linear and the difficulty is low, but it's worth a try if you want something different for your DS.
  5. Dementium may not be the greatest FPS experience there ever was, but, for what it is, it is quite an enjoyable romp.
  6. In spite of some medium-sized annoyances, there are no game-breaking problems here, and there’s a lot of enjoyment to be had for players who like a sprinkle of terror on their gaming pie.
  7. It will make you scream, but not because of fear. It will cause you pain, but not in a figured way. And it will give you nightmares, but for motives that are not even related with its storyline.

One of the best games i have ever played, on any system or console to be honest. The graphics are great, especially for the ds, the story and game-play are fantastic, really, there is nothing bad about this game that i can think of. At some points it is scary as hell. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of video games. Expand

Really frustrating and hard to get into. The comparison to Doom 3 and Silent Hill is based only upon the fact that it appears that way. Really it's nowhere near as good as either one of those games and, despite a few frustrating moments, I was able to beat it in a matter of an hour or two. The storyline is mediocre and lacks any real interesting features, and the monsters look laughable (I know the graphics aren't the best, but at the very least they could've spend more time on character design). This game really isn't worth it. For some there may be something to enjoy, but for me it was an annoying bore. Expand
