Even people who aren't big on sidescrolling high-score games will find Escape from Age of Monsters humorous, enjoyable, and addictive.
A great endless runner. I'd argue that it warrants consideration simply from its visuals.
With challenging color-coded control mechanics, a rocking soundtrack, and impressive graphics, Escape from Age of Monsters may be a mouthful, but it's also an engaging offering.
An intense dash to infinity that's entertainingly frenetic, if a little too flimsy to hang out with the big boys.
Proves to be more of a full-featured game than the series' first outing, but for what it has going for it in terms of presentation it lacks in compelling gameplay.
The detection of item-grabbing slashes is often fumbled, and since moving your finger can leave you prone to missing punches, it ruins a promising risk-reward system.
A pretty, but by-the-numbers, endless platformer, that I doubt will stay for long on your iOS homescreen.
