You’ll most likely complete Ghosthunter in only a few short sittings, but between the impressive visuals, multi-faceted gameplay, and solid combat dynamics, chances are you’ll have fun the entire time.
Crazy cult hidden gem and an early playststion exclusive.. Gorgeous and corny horror with atmospheric environments. Controls are a cross between Survival horror and action , making you powerfull but not op, to keep you on your back foot.
It's a great game you've probably missed and za CRitCs rating on this is just... meh, what it even tells you? That they love the 69 pose? O.K. Good to know.
The game itself is great, it's unique and I've never played anything like that. Does it have anything in common with the Ghost Hunters? Well, apparently you're hunting ghost and you keep them in a large container. That's all I guess.
I'm not much of a writer so I'll just tell you why it is not a 10/10. Sometimes I was finding myself being stuck and don't know that to do, and after growing up I have still the same problems. Yeah, I'm not a master of describing either. The level design of some levels may **** sometimes? Is it how I should describe it? xD
But anyway, I love this project and I wish more people would play it but oh well it's not happening.
Also, the Lazaruses English voice actor is that I don't like. Like yeah, he is a country boy and so his voice is fitting but... I just don't like this. I've played with a Russian dub and he sounds there like a generally cool dude. Aw, and his phrases are like a memes foe me and my sis.
A mightily impressive action/adventure title, that features excellent presentation to draw the player in and strong game fundamentals to ensure frustration remains at a low.
This odd mixture of survival horror, atmospheric visuals, brain-dead puzzles and action clichés manages to come together despite itself, creating a PS2 exclusive that delivers more than the sum of its disparate parts.
It's almost as though the team forgot that games are meant to be fun, because Ghosthunter isn't. Quite simply, you can't do anything (honestly, anything) or go anywhere the game doesn't want you to; it's almost an insult to your intelligence. [Christmas 2003, p.112]
Great game, by no means a classic but fun to play with some interesting enemies, good visuals for it's day and it all plays along to some fairly decent DnB in the background. Hope it comes to PS NOW.
Personajes carismáticos, variedad de escenarios, historia entretenida... mejoraría un poco el apuntar con las armas, pero todo es acostumbrarse. Tiene unos detalles muy chulos e ingeniosos para ser de PS2. Lo he disfrutado.
There was allot of hype prior to this game's release. A real shame that it didn't fully live up to it. But I will say the game is still extremely good none the less. Just a real shame that it isn't what it could be. The first few levels are really done well and the level design is superbly detailed. Camera can be extremely irritating at times, particularly in the enclosed areas. So many good and unique idea are introduced but just barely implemented. The last few levels do feel like they were rushed and I got the distinct impression that the developers were pushed into releasing a game that wasn't fully complete. Ghost texturing is a bit poorly done at some points. Overall: It is a REALLY good game that really feels like it is the BETA version of the game. As if they still needed to polish it off and a few more things.
SummaryFollowing the adventures of Lazarus Jones on his first day on the Detroit Police Force, Ghosthunter sees the plucky rookie called in to investigate a disturbance in an old abandoned school, the scene of a grisly (and ultimately unsolved) mass-murder. Heading out with his senior partner Anna Steele, Lazarus sets off on what he believes is...
