The '80s aesthetics of GRIDD: Retroenhanced isn't probably the most original, but Antab Studio managed to create an excellent arcade shooter working from those stereotypes up, adding a deep gameplay and a strong personality. As Ronald Reagan used to say, "easy to learn, difficult to master"!
GRIDD: Retroenhanced is an excellent cyberpunk shoot 'em up for anyone looking for a fast and stylish title, inspired by movies like TRON. Well done, Antab Studios.
GRIDD: Retroenhanced nails the retro-futuristic '80s sci-fi atmosphere, with gorgeous neon visuals and a great electro soundtrack. And the gameplay is very satisfying too, thanks to shoot 'em up mechanics that require us to think about when shooting at everything that moves or approaching enemies in other ways.
Antab's GRIDD: Retroenhanced is a solid rail shooter with slick retro-esque visuals and a catchy synthwave soundtrack from Dream Fiend. Rail shooters are slightly limited compared to traditional shmups and twin-stick shooters, but they certainly provide a feel all their own. GRIDD could benefit from a bit more content and polish. Still, it should easily appeal to fans of rail shooters like Starfox and Panzer Dragoon.
SummaryGRIDD: Retroenhanced is an intense arcade-style cyberpunk hacking shoot 'em up with an incredible soundtrack, procedurally generated elements, and electric visuals.
