All in all, I Can’t Escape: Darkness is a very simple, though difficult, game. It’s squarely rooted in the past, with the only modern touch being the Steam-based scoreboards.
Had the game been only slightly more welcoming in a few areas this could have been a really great experience, rather than just a reminder of the games I used to love.
From its abysmal combat to its shoddy randomly generated dungeon, I really could not stop playing “I Can’t Escape: Darkness” fast enough. I’m sure there are some masochists out there that enjoy this sort of game, but I’m certainly not one of them.
SummaryI Can't Escape: Darkness is a quicksand trap for the senses - the more you listen and look for clues, the deeper you fall into a damp, living dungeon.
