Sure, the humor is a little flat because of the restrictions of the GBA, but the graphics are very well done, and players will have no trouble jumping in and playing.
Unfortunately, there's no cure for nonresponsive control and poorly rendered graphics. [Mar 2004, p.120]
Past these cutting-edge visuals, however, there's nothing left but a simple run-and-jump platformer--and it's a bad one at that.
It's a sugar coating with no substance: frustrating controls, bad level design, wonky collision detection...technology alone can't save it.
In order to keep processing to a minimum, the camera is locked in a fixed position that keeps either of the two playable characters front and center at all times. When you come to levels that require jumping you can't look around to see where the next platform is.
Midway's GBA effort falls flatter than a microbe run down by a rampant cartoon steamroller. [Spring 2004, p.46]
