Thanks to the Fritz!-Algorythm every round is challenging, as the AI doesn't do big mistakes. With many extras like the puzzles Battle VS Chess is a nice game for friends of the game of kings. For beginners this could be a tough nut though - for them the "undo" option is essential. Still - if you like chess, this sure is an interesting title for you.

Check vs. Mate is a good game to check out if you enjoy playing combat/strategic style games that make you think and leave you upset when the computer beats you.

Check vs. Mate could have been very good if the developers hadn't been lazy with character animations, or if someone had taken the time to write a legitimate story.

  1. Puts a little twist on general chess. Is it worth your money? Yes. But it isn't worth your time, unless you are specifically looking for a chess game to play with friends. While other modes are fun and all, it won't keep you coming back. Expand
