  • Summary: Driving games are about to get a lot funkier. Based on the 70's television show, Starsky & Hutch will be careening to a home console near you this fall. Race through Bay City in Starsky's bright red Ford Torino, while Hutch takes aim at criminals with his .357 Magnum - but don't go thinking this will be a joy ride! If your driving and shooting skills can't keep the TV audience on the edge of their sofas, your ratings will plummet, the show will be cancelled, and it's game over! Don't think you can handle all the high-speed thrills by yourself? Find a partner and let them shoot while you drive. It's time to clean up the streets... in style! [Gotham Games] Expand

  1. Sure the graphics are not the best they could be and there's no LAN/Internet play, but that aside it is a fun game to play and it I bought it new for twenty bucks!
  2. This game has decent graphics with fast paced action arcade gameplay that offers a bit of flash and some cool stunt work, but it gets monotonous and runs thin in story and character depth.
  3. With good physics, respectable graphics, an interesting city to explore, and lots of good stuff to shoot, Starsky & Hutch is way better than it should be. [Jan 2004, p.84]
  4. Ultimately, Starsky & Hutch simply comes off as a poor man's Vice City. A very poor man living off sub-grade, government cheese.

Great game; lots of 70s atmosphere and really large maps to explore during the various levels. Doing stunts to keep your viewer rating up is ingenious and keeps the action quotient high. Expand

I almost absolutely hate it. I bought the game because I had the demo and saw "Free Roam" (Which was not accesible). Then I bought it and found out that in Free Roam you must also keep your viewer ratings up! WTF!!! I thought it was FREE Roam. Another thing is that when you are playing the game the other cops will come out, drive like idiots, get in your way, blow up, then decrease your viewer ratings greatly. Also I would have liked to see some different map settings. The only ones are Rotating and Stationary. Some differences in the cars would also be nice. Looks and handling are fine, but the top speeds all seem the same. Well anyway if I could have I would have given it a 1 1/2 because of the shots from the show, and all the stuff on thee man Huggy Bear! Expand
