  • Summary: rab the controls and hold on for dear life with the most electrifying, high-speed racing experience available.
Race and wreck in enchanting movie-theme worlds, kick it into overdrive with over 30 super-flying vehicles, and blow away the competition with outrageous weapons in the most
    electrifying racing experience available!
Previously known as Revolt 2: Pocket Rockets, this RC vehicle racer graces the 128-bit system with all the slick track designs, great weapons balance, and dead-on control that made the PC and Dreamcast versions such a hit. Luckily, developers from Acclaim's Cheltenham Studios have taken full advantage of the PlayStatation 2 hardware--no longer will tracks be confined to suburban neighborhoods and museums. RC Revenge goes all out to deliver the goods with environments like desert islands and villages wrapped nighttime slumber. And the best part of it all? A level editor for the creative gamer is set to keep the replay value on high.

  1. Like a mixture of "Mario Kart" and "Motor Toon GP," RC Revenge Pro's pint-sized racing terrors are armed to the teeth, delivering a totally lighthearted, fun and competitive racing experience.
  2. Unfortunately, the game design doesn’t quite live up to the game play.
  3. It's certainly not the worst kart racer out there. But this isn't supposed to be a kart racer, this is supposed to be an RC racer -- it's there right in the title. And at that, the game fails pretty miserably.
  4. A decent enough karter sadly let down by overly complex track design and occasionally ropey graphics.
  5. The graphics have received a much needed boost (though at the cost of some nasty side effects), and the gameplay is still decent, but there are definitely better pickings out there.
  6. 40
In this case, "RC" stands for "really crappy." Unless you truly enjoy subpar courses, low-grade weapons, ho-hum racing, and pre-Newtonian physics, you should probably avoid the lifeless RC Revenge Pro.
  7. The track editor adds lots of replay value, but when the base game is so uninspiring there's not much of a point.

This game is great fun. I feel it excels in so many areas to the point where I would play this over something like Mario Kart. I love the general feel of the game and how the maps and cars make a solid difference to the experience. Awesome fun back in the day! 8/10 Expand

It's like Mario Kart and I love Mario Kart (DS). Believe it or not this game is quite addictive. It's great that there's a game like Mario Kart in the PS2. Expand

RC Revenge Pro was very fun with it's cooky levels, and quirky cars. However, I feel they missed out on some creative possibilities, especially in the level editor. For example, I think the level editor should've had a intersection piece, a tornado piece (because having a level full of tornados is what I call fun.) Heck, they could've had a water level editor. But hey, for just having the level editor, I am not going to complain. I think the physics should have been more like Re-volt's handling to make it a little bit more challenging. The A.I was okay, nothing special. The music was fun to listen to. I wouldn't say it's terrible. I also found the levels to be fun. It's slowdown make the game be a little bit boring, but most of the time, you're too busy to notice because of the turns, monsters, and basically because the track is a free-for-all. Oh yeah, the levels I thought were very detailed, and interactive, but it would be cool if some monsters game down and attacked your cars, or arrows were thrown at your cars at the temples, or floating books chased you during the level, you get what I mean. I think RC Revenge Pro is a very fun game for everyone to enjoy, except for the Critic Reviewers, since they don't like it. Expand
