Silent Line: Armored Core Image
  • Summary: Earth has seen the collapse of the machine-controlled society and the return of humans to the surface of the planet. Explorers have uncovered a previously unknown mega-city that is well protected from scouting incursions. All attempts at penetrating the border have been met with destruction as the line literally goes silent. Once again the call goes out to the Ravens, mercenaries hired by the government to break through the silent line and discover the truth behind the enigma. [Agetec] Expand

  1. Not all of the missions are more difficult than subsequent ones, but in general the game's level of difficulty does increase exponentially when amortized over the 30-plus missions.
  2. As solid as ever, but unlikely to win new converts, Silent Line: Armored Core preaches to the choir and no one else. [Aug 2003, p.71]

This game is awesome, the ability to destroy an opponents weapons adds a new layer of strategy and the 800 ammo machine gun is a dream. And although the dual stick controls in AC4 are nicer you can make the controls more responsive by setting the d-pad/left stick to turn and look, and the face buttons to move and strafe then setting the shoulders to perform the remaining functions.
