Smuggler's Run 2 makes Smuggler's Run look like a tech demo. It's Angel Studios' best game so far.
It's a fun, wild romp-style action-racing game that's better than last year's version, it's just the concept itself is a little shallow.
Smuggling drugs isn’t much fun when it involves swallowing condoms to sneak cocaine across the border, but it’s a blast when you drive all-terrain vehicles full of contraband right through police barricades.
A fun, solid game that's worth picking up...My one complaint is that the game only has two environments to drive through. As I said, they're huge, but the original had three, and the absence of one is noticeable.
The trouble is, the learning curve's more of a spike, so with no real variation in the gameplay, and an extremely rigid mission-structure, every few missions you'll get hopelessly, tooth-gnashingly stuck.
Like its predecessor, won't go down in history as any kind of a classic, but it does offer enough thrills and spills to keep most players interested through to the end.
It’s a shame when a good-looking game gets ruined by the fact that it’s not any fun to play.
