At $10 on the PSN store, Dragon's Lair is at the high end of the "impulse buy" scale. Purists will probably prefer the Wii version, but if you just want to experience an arcade classic (or want to watch the game you were never able to beat back in the day), then this is a nifty way to do it. It's also a lot easier than a visit to the Smithsonian. Just don't expect incredibly deep gameplay, and you won't be disappointed.

Dragon's Lair for the PlayStation 3 is a simple copy of the original game from 1983, so there is nothing new or innovative. However, fans of Disney's animation films get their money's worth.

In 1983 it was revolutionary, in 2010/2011 it is old hat.

You might remember this game from when you were a kid, but this game has lost all of its magic after thirty long years. The gameplay just doesn't hold up any more.

But Dragon's Lair is a fish-out-of-water in today's gaming market, and its appeal is entirely historical.

Nice HD looking version of the classic. I really wish modern reviews understood the simplicity of 80's video games. This game does NOT suckNice HD looking version of the classic. I really wish modern reviews understood the simplicity of 80's video games. This game does NOT suck in the least. Is it easy? yes. Will you memorize it quickly? Yes. Is it worth $10? considering the crap we get that's $60, yes!

All adventure decision-making games ultimately look to this as their inspiration, so enjoy a little nostalgia!
