With so many modes and diverse rewards to uncover in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, it almost feels like 2.5 games in one package. Plus, the fact that the online component works so incredibly, and we still can't pick a favorite between playing as a cop or racer speaks volumes to the game's quality. Quite simply, there is no better, more accessible racing game out there.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit may have been a late entrant into the race, but it both grabs the checkered flag for this year and may set a land speed record for this entire class of racer.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit both disappoints and delights. The excitement and thrill of high-speed chases is marred by the bland and stale routes on which they take place.

  1. Well first of i dont think it's better then Gran Turismo or Forza 3,but it's the start of something good for the need of speed series the exact comeback in years.. Comparing it to the last installment it thumps it and leaves it as a wreck.. The game is a true improvement and this could just bring back the series but now has gotten competition so they have to pick up their game.. If EA sticked with this who knows where they could of been now!!! Expand

  2. Graphics/Performance(10/10): Good graphics, good performance. Singleplayer(7/10): Very repetitive. Felt like I was doing the same race over and over. Multiplayer(N/A): N/A Gameplay(6/10): All cars handle the exact same, there’s no difference between a Crown Victoria and a Lamborghini. Drifting is iffy and the time trials are very unforgiving. Story(3/10): There’s really no story at all. You race to gain money and street cred, and if you’re a cop you catch badguys. Overall(6/10): Overall, it is a very boring game. I was only able to play a few hours before I had to walk away out of boredom. Sloppy controls, sloppy car handling, and very repetitive gaming. Was a very big let down. Expand

  3. most boring nfs game i have played. getting a new car doesn't feel like a reward as you get it after every track and the characteristics of each car are bearly there. you cant set it to manuel and drifting is automated almost. the carrier feels so shallow and there is no depth at all to your carrier. only thing left is graphics and the cinametics in crashes are a fun feature. the menu and videos that you cant skip is **** Expand
