A noteworthy successor to games like Mashed and Micromachines. If you like this blend of shooting and driving, it is a very interesting buy, although its single-player mode is quite short and not very replayable.
Wrecked is the long awaited successor to the cult hit that was Mashed Fully Loaded. It retains the essences and soul of Mashed with its 4 player multiplayer. Players compete until they are knocked off the track or fall too far behind. Revenge and politics then enter play as the knocked out player can use their air strike to knock out players still racing. 10/10
This game is a little masterpiece. Is a bigger sorprise. With an awesome cars. I feel that is a sequel of ToW, but is better. Wrecked: Revenge Revisted is excellent.
Wrecked offers a tissue-thin single-player mode, poor frame-rate and camera, bland track design and clumsy online multiplayer, all for a premium price with expensive community-splitting day-one DLC.
We spend two evenings playing Wrecked and what can I say? You have to play it with good friends! It's like a HD version of Mashed, the gameplay is still extremely funny and needless to say that you have to prevent your neighbours because of all the noise while playing the game. :-)
I absolutely can not understand the bad reviews. Wrecked is that what I expected from a sequel! Yes, I still miss the highway-track but everything else is perfect!
Wrecked is at its best when you have 2 or 3 friends you can play it with. It is one of the best party games out there. However, I can't score the game as highly as I would of liked to; it would of got lower than a 7 but I enjoyed it too much. Here's where Wrecked lets itself down: Lacking maps, Pricey (1200ms), Day one DLC, not many people playing online, if anyone rage quits (not just the host) the game ends, the new boost mechanic doesn't work that well on the 360 controller, no bots unlike its predecessor. If you were a MASHED player you shouldn't miss this but new comers may be left with a bad taste in their mouths.
"Wrecked: Revenge Revisited" is a XBLA causal racing racing game, where you must gain points by wreck your opponents, to win the game, and that is viewed from a top perspective, having the same basic gameplay of MicroMachines. It has only 6 tracks, but you can play with 4 other players in the screen and Online. You can customize your car, and add weapons (there are many types of weapons available), to help win the races, or beat the adversaries. The graphics are good, somewhat casual and colorful to fit the game and the sound effects are nice: but the musics and comments are very annoying. The game mechanics are a little odd in the handling, and the singleplayer experience is bad. For 1200 Microsoft Points there are many other games that has a way better cost / benefit ratio - I recommend to buy this game, only if you like quick competitive games, if you are a die hard fan of Micromachines (that is a way better game) or have others friends to play with you, but again, a more just price for this game would be something like 800MS Points. My score: 6,7 / 10,0
Supersonic made what is possibly the best multi-player game ever in Mashed; however, they sorely missed the mark with Wrecked. Everything from camera angles, physics, the car, weapons and new features are a huge step back from the simplicity and excitement of Mashed. The cost on XBOX live is far too high for the quality of this game and the developers seem to have simultaneously taken advantage of, and alienated their fan base. Day one DLC was just an extra slap in the face. I would have paid three times the price of Wrecked for an HD version of Mashed but I guess I will just use that money to keep my 10 year old XBOX running.
SummaryIn WRECKED, players are required to drive aggressively with a chip on their shoulders, utilizing a variety of weapons and vehicle enhancements to take their opponents out of the race. However, vanquished foes are able to exact vengeance against those who knocked them out through five different aerial strikes.
