The tension ratchets unbelievably high, and the simple act of peeking around a corner can lead to coronary trauma when you realize that something is standing right behind you. Like any good rollercoaster ride, Killing Floor Incursion delivers the chills and the fun in equal measure, and is well worth the price of admission.

Killing Floor: Incursion is the classic example of first-person shooter capable of exploiting virtual reality in a brilliant way and offering a gameplay that goes beyond the typical VR shooter.

The PSVR is lacking a shooter that defines the genre in virtual reality but Killing Floor Incursion is a step in the right direction. With a campaign and a horde mode, the game has something for every wanna be zombie (Zed), hunter.

Killer Floor Incursion is a good VR shooter, but not the best in its category.

Killing Floor: Incursion has everything a zombie experience should have: clever weapons, lots of targets to use them on, and a weak story to tie it all together. The controls are a bit of a pain and there are a lot of linear hallways to trudge through but nothing says unwind from a hard day like taking an ax to a zombie’s face. If you have a friend with a PSVR, bring them along for the co-op campaign and horde-mode inspired test of survival.

Shooting at everything that remotely resembles the Zed is entertaining enough in VR although repetition rears its head after a short while. The coop action is capable and audio-visually the game is fine although it never really stands out in anything it tries to accomplish. Teleportation as a means to move around is a bit of a bummer and the fact that you automatically drop some guns is something you'll never get used to. The puzzles are far too easy. Killing Floor: Incursion is a okay shooter but it doesn't distinguish itself enough from the crowd.

Killing Floor: Incursion, while visually accomplished and very pretty, doesn’t have anything on its mind. We’re two years into commercial virtual reality and Killing Floor: Incursion is as plain as it is tired.
