You'll have a difficult time mounting an effective defense since opposing teams drive the ball with lightning speed. [Nov 2003, p.156]
It's obvious that some care and talent went into the making of this game. Unfortunately it just didn't dribble down to the most important part - the gameplay.
Unfortunately a promising set of images couldn't prepare us for an absolutely lousy playing game of b-ball on the Game Boy Advance, possibly beating out the 16-bit era NBA Jam clones as the worst of the bunch.
Unless you want to spend $20 to be bored to tears, you should stay away from Street Jam Basketball.
Single-player mode has you spending more time trying to avoid getting hit than aiming for the hoop, which gets annoying real quick. [Fall 2003, p.54]
Despite the intelligent control system, the on-court offensive action rapidly deteriorates into a quick pass, followed by charging the hoop to make the same basket shot/dunk over and over.
