Then climb into the new era of air combat with missiles-only fighters armed with radar-guided missiles. And finally, scramble in the post-Vietnam jet fighters and engage in blood-draining high-g dogfights using all-aspect missiles!The campaign advances one year when you accumulate 5 kills flying any aircraft available on/or before that year. Keys to unlock new planes are earned when you get promoted to a new level based on your total accumulated score. You also get an additional key for every four years of campaign progress.Later year aircraft can be bought as in-app purchase and unlocked early and played out of sequence, but you need to go to the Options screen and set it to show later year aircraft to see them.The game uses accelerometer (tilt sensor) for controlling the aircraft. The control is automatically centered every time you play, and you can also "re-center" it manually to the current orientation anytime by tapping near the center of display.The radar screen at the top right corner of the screen shows top-down position of the enemy fighters, and the red arrows on the screen show which direction to turn. The arrow changes into a red box when the target is in front. Once the target is in gun range, a red aim dot appears indicating where to lead and shoot to hit the target. Remember that enemy fighters are also turning and attempting to get behind your six!Targeting is automatic, missiles automatically lock-on to the target with best chance of hitting, which is generally the one closest to the center of the screen. Missile chances are affected by the range, both max and min ranges, as well as the target aspect (especially for the early heat seekers which are rear aspect only!)The app is absolutely free to download and play!
