SXPD is a special, yet extremely short blend between comic book and arcade racer. The beautiful art and smooth controls disguise the somewhat simplistic gameplay that hopefully will be expanded in the next episode.
Proof that, sometimes, style "is" substance. [Issue#250, p.74]
There's fun to be had with its sharp-edged bike blasting, but SXPD is a little on the small side.
SXPD is ideal for any comic book fan who wishes they could dive into the pages of a high-speed chase.
A lot of hard work has certainly been invested into SXPD and its with no doubt that this game has got a lot of clear potential, but due to its repetitive nature and lack of depth it unfortunately misses the mark just slightly. I
SXPD is an intriguing 3D shooter with mature comic book cutscenes, but it's not quite fleshed out enough in this installment.
