Ultimately, Treemaker is a fun game. The physics-based platforming works well, though it's inhibited by stagnant level design. That said, for anyone looking for a fun, portable platformer, this one's worth checking out.
While Treemaker is a lot of fun to play and really lovely to look at, I have to admit that I was disappointed with the lack of variety when it came to the appearance of the levels.
Here's the real issue with Treemaker... with only 18 levels here you're only going to get, at most, two hours of entertainment out of it. Then you're finished and there's nothing left to do but delete it from your phone.
Treemaker tries to revive a style of game that has lost its popularity of late, but instead it only manages to add itself to the pile of half-formed games that also failed in this quest.
A laudably fresh physics puzzler, albeit one with deep-rooted problems.
Treemaker's unique approach to a game structure we've seen so many times before on the iPhone gets an A for effort, but it falls short on execution, visuals and sound.
