Not for everyone, but younger gamers and arcade fans will love it. The multiplayer mode adds a surreal slice of joy, too. [Jan 2013, p.103]
Tank! Tank! Tank! is a simple and fun idea that is hindered by some poor gameplay design which ultimately leaves a lot of potential unrealized.

This game is great fun. It's a simple shooter so it's great if you have kids. My kids think it's awesome. My wife and I enjoy playing the co-op campaign and with that one person get the full tv while the other uses the screen on the GamePad. I had 3 11-year old over playing it and they loved it.

Finding entertainment in Tank Tank Tank is like panning for gold in the bathtub – you're not going to find anything. I can see a group of businessmen amusing themselves with the game at a bar during happy hour, but they'd never want to bring that experience home. Like a culturally sensitive foreign joke, Tank Tank Tank fails to translate.
At its heart, this is a bad port of an average arcade game from 2009. While the multiplayer occasionally delights, the rest of the experience feels unfinished. The single player is a meaningless grind with little to offer aside from a skeletal story. TANK! TANK! TANK! might have served as a passable downloadable title, but as a full retail game it's one of the Wii U's worst launch titles.
Given that it's a little more than a lazy arcade port, Tank! Tank! Tank! has no business as a $50 retail release. [Dec 2012, p.82]
People, it's great if you're making a trash-themed game. I'm all for it. Tanks vs. Gorilla-Mechs, you almost had this one in the bag. I don't even have anything against the gameplay itself being trashy. But Tank!Tank!Tank! is just garbage. It's a cheap little stinker of a buggy mini game that didn't even know what hit it, when it ended up on a retail disc.
The critical reviews of this game are harsh to say the least. Without meaning to point fingers, it sounds as if most of said reviewers were holed up in their bedrooms cruising through the (average) first player modes. This game is ALL about the multiplayer. It's about getting your mates together and shooting each other and giant monsters in giant motherflipping TANKS. It is, in my eyes, the most blind fun any multiplayer game on Wii U offers so far. Give it a try.

The cons: This game is grindy, simple, and repetitive. Your only controls are the control stick to move and the A button to fire.
The Pros: it doesn’t make much sense; but I just found this game to be such stupid fun. If you have any children in your life this is a great game to play with them as the controls don’t need much explaining. I could honestly say that I love it this game and was happy to grind out all of the tanks. I feel like a 7 is a fair rating though; as there really isn’t much to it. It’s a port of an arcade game though; what more do you expect?

Es una lastima que un juego con tanto potencial como lo pudo ser este, se limitase solo a un multijugador de mediana calidad y una historia, cuyo único requisito para jugarla es pagar USD 9.99 y que según las reseñas de paginas especializadas es un modo de juego mediocre. Lastima por este juego, que se veía mas prometedor.

I bought this game because my friend recommended it. It was a mistake. Tank! Tank! Tank! is probably the worst game for Wii U. The graphics aren't that bad but everything else is very bad. Multiplayer should have been implemented in a better way. The game does not have enough elements and that is why the game gets boring quite soon.
