  • Summary: Using the wireless connection between the DS and Wii, owners of Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl can use their handheld as a controller in playing Pokemon Battle Revolution. Players can give orders to their Pokemons using the DS, and then watch the result of the battle on the TV screen. Having a DS isn't mandatory in playing Pokémon Battle Revolution, although it broadens the range of strategy when challenging other players. Using the DS lets you set up your Pokemon on the handheld's dual LCD rather than the TV screen, making it somewhat of a guessing game to figure out what the opponent player is up to. Aside from being the first Wii game to make use of the DS-Wii connectivity, Pokemon Battle Revolution is the first Wii game to be playable online through Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection service. 1. Graphically, this game is incredible. Physical attacks cause Pokemon to actually make contact, and Special attacks damage the scenery. The Pokemon themselves are rendered incredibly well, as are the trainers. [JPN Import]
  2. As mentioned very early on in the review, Pokemon Battle Revolution was developed for the Pokemon faithful in mind, and although you can try battling through this game with little experience the game definitely favors the more knowledgeable.
  3. Be leery of the online gameplay, however, as you will face several members of the exclusive Pokémon elite and make it out barely alive. Let's hope that Nintendo's next venture online is a little more player friendly and not just for an exclusive club.

Loved it! Great graphics, lighting, and sound. Downloading Poke'mon from DS to Wii was a quick and easy. For those of you who are whinning about how you NEED a DS to play, STOP because you don't NEED one. If you think that, go buy one you little cry babies. Expand

It's alright, but only if you actually have Diamond or Pearl. In my opinion however, Stadium for the N64 was a lot better, and so much more could have been done with this really. Expand

They could have done so much more with this. I have enjoyed seeing my pokemon in 3D on the big screen, but the animations are so lazy and some things they don't even do. Things like, if you miss, it just tells you, theres no animation of a move missing. When it rains, there's no rain, it just tells you! And as for single player there isn't really enough of worth. So it's kinda cool if you have a DS and friends to play with, but I'd hold on for a better made game. Expand
