Despite a few hiccups with the tracking and an unorthodox handling of the vehicles, Joyride is a solid racing game at heart.

For parents looking for a game without the violence or complications and you're looking to get a Kinect for your kids, definitely check this game out if you're after a second game. However Kinect Sports come first than this!

The main issue in Kinect Joy Ride is that you cannot break or accelerate. You are just moving your hands and pretend holding a steering wheel. Joy Ride is something for in between, but it is not motivating to play for hours and hours.
  4. Some fun to be had, but not for long. [Feb 2011, p.108]

  1. As with all games, its a guilty pleasure. No doubt the best racing game you could buy for any gaming system. A perfect family friendly game that people of all ages will enjoy. I'm fifteen, and I still love it anyway. Expand
  2. The problem here is one fo concept. It is a bit stupid to try and drive a car standing up and holding nothing in yor hands. Aside of that there are control issues and the game is more suitable for little kids. The racing genre needs a different approach to blossom with Kinect. Expand
