While the first Burnout was inspired by European movies and locations, its sequel is inspired by American films such as The Fast and the Furious. Set in US locations, the game gives you an all-new set of vehicles: modified Japanese cars, pickups, SUVs - plus some bonus rides such as police cruisers, and classic 50's hotrods. Also, expect tighter handling, better crash deformations, new music, new game structure, enhanced physics, new lighting, improved car models, a new replay system, and fast-paced fun. Expand

It's fast, it's addicting, and it's got Live support. You simply cannot go wrong with this title, and this one is truly the best version.
  2. I am completely stunned at how much playtime this game has.
  3. An exhilarating and addicting arcade racing experience wrapped in some great looking graphics.

Although the PlayStation 2 and GameCube versions of the sequel have been available for some time, the Xbox version nudges ahead of the other two as the best looking of the bunch.

One of the best arcade racing games I've played.
  6. The crash mode alone makes this game worth seeing, and the inclusion of the well-done championship and multiplayer modes makes it the best pure arcade-style racing game available on the Xbox.
  7. Offers very little above the original Playstation 2 version.

I would say that this is the best arcade racer on xbox. It's better than NFS Underground for sure.

Despite the awesome crashes and imense feeling of speed that this game generates, I would never call it the best racing game on the xbox! In terms of game time, the single player missions come and go in the blink of an eye! Around 5 hours of gameplay and it's all over...all cars unlocked etc... difficulty settings need an over haul...yes there is a challenge with the customs cup, but it a simple matter of avoiding on-coming traffic and not much else...there is not much in the way of computer AI...they don't block paths or try and push you into traffic...nothing. The multi-player is fabulous however, and is the only reason this game has any longevity! For mine, Project Gotham is still the ultimate racing game for xbox. Many many hours of game play have gone into that one. (although I would love to see Grand Turismo 4 on the xbox...that would rule. Have you seen the photo-realistic back drops??? You must. It's almost enough to make my buy a PS2!!!) Expand
