If you're a smart racer, you'll be sure to grab extra power-ups for a boost or blasting power. If you're not, then the tracks' spikes, mines, and other booby traps will surely be your downfall. 1. For a $20 game, the environments look pretty dang good. You will be racing over and under tables and beds and plants plus whatever else they throw at you. I wouldn't say its eye candy, but they look good.
  2. Everything about it screams budget ,sure, but there are much worse full-priced games on the Xbox. [Oct/Nov 2003, p.99]
  3. Unforgiving AI, lack of play options to customize your game, and the annoying fact that you can’t restart a race during a championship really can make the game more aggravating than enjoyable.

This is the very definition of a budget racer and I don't mean that in a good way. Basic arcadey track designs mix with stupidly simple controls and poor graphics for an end experience that falls somewhere below the average.
  5. The very definition of a stripped-down budget title, as practically every aspect that would make a game fun or interesting is missing.
  6. Slot car racing is bloody boring enough without have to replicate it in a videogame. What's next? Snail racing?... It stinks.
  7. Okay, what we're dealing with here is a racing game that doesn't let you steer. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?! You can't steer... It's kind of like making a platforming game where you can't walk. [Sept 2003, p.121]

HELLO - Anyone at home McFly - what a numpty perhaps if you actually spent 30 seconds learning how to play the game and HOW IT WORKS before writing a 'review' - I thought this was the most original game I'd seen in ages, great fun. You have a huge scalextrix track with loads of cool ideas in. Its sad that any game that breaks the mould gets bad reviews from the sub-inteligencia - get it, its real addictive.. Expand

One of the best games for the Xbox. Sure graphics are poor but it's only $20 bucks and is fun and simple.
