  1. A stylish and spectacular gaming universe.
  2. A surprisingly accomplished, by-the-books, futuristic racing game.
  3. It's more indicative of the current crop of racing games that a 15 year-old concept feels so refreshing.
  4. Powerdrome appears to be just another futuristic racer. One advantage it does offer over other similar racers of the genre, however, is the ability to race against others on Xbox Live.
  5. For a budget title Powerdrome certainly has plenty going for it. It has great graphics, smooth animation, nice particle effects such as spark and smoke and several modes including time trials, quick race, championship and multi-player modes both system link and online.
  6. Powerdrome doesn't improve on the genre as much as I was hoping.
  7. Sadly, Powerdrome is one time trial after another, and even with a real opponent via Xbox Live, there's not much more to it. [Sept 2004, p.89]
