  1. A truly great gameplay experience for those who can appreciate the slower manner of play. Some of the tasks can be a bit laborious which could deter some weary newbies to laying down there hard earned green for this one. Be advised, you'd be missing out on a real gem.
  2. Finally, some hexagons! As much as I would like to play turn-based strategy on the Xbox, especially on maps as pretty as these, the poor campaign, simplified tactical combat and magical power-ups are a big let-down. [Jan 2006]
  3. The decent visuals and mainstream theme do help things a little, and the underlying complexities of hex-based warfare are pretty well masked, but in the end this is still a game for those who prefer to spend long nights, manual in hand, working towards a distant reward.
  4. Throw in groan-inducing power-ups and uninspired graphics, and you'll be bored before the weekend's up. [Feb 2006, p.79]

Shattered Union is a very fun, turn-based wargame that anyone can enjoy. If you can find someone to play this with, it gets even more entertaining. The graphics and controls are good, but are a little hard to get used to at the start. Collapse
