What Castle’s films lack in originality, they make up for in carnival energy and an eagerness to please.
The unconvincing wraiths appear whether you like it or not in this good-for-a-few-laughs feature.

Gimmick or no, the film is really rather silly and not particularly scary.
It's too bad Mr. Castle, in serving up his ghosts, didn't simply have some cartoonists draw, 'em on in full view.
Mainly remembered for its rather soggy haunted-house plot and the Master Showman's latest gimmick, the "Illusion-O" Ghost Viewer (a strip of colored plastic not unlike 3-D glasses which enabled audiences to see the ghosts on screen, or "remove" them when cowardice got the better of them).
