The ability not to see the obvious in both a literal and a metaphoric sense imbues the indie feature Blindness with dramatic potency.
As a calling card for the stylistic talents of a new filmmaker, writer-director Anna Chi's first feature is a success. As drama, it's a dud.
It's a glum, stale soap opera, tediously paced but mercifully running only 75 minutes, its sole virtue.
