Five Nights At Freddy’s has flaws, but it is an excellent adaption. It feels like the game while still being accessible to any newcomers by crafting an original story.
As far as middling entertainment goes, Five Nights at Freddy’s fits the bill.

Maybie not the best movie and not that good but i still love it! That fealing when after all thease years comes FNAF movie that music and and.. I just love it worth watching!!!

With dreary visuals and a lack of real twists or scares, there isn’t much here for a general audience to hold onto. Die-hard fans will be satisfied, however, and for young newcomers to horror, it might just be a perfect scarefest and jumping-off point into the genre.
At least Scream star Matthew Lillard brings some creepiness into his little screen time. Otherwise, Five Nights At Freddy’s is moribund.
When 'The Banana Splits Movie' got there first, and did it slightly better, you’re in trouble.
There are moments where it feels like it could have become a more gleefully mean-spirited horror ride by really sinking its teeth into the story and actually biting down, but it remains hamstrung by the rating as well as a lack of creativity.
Caught between PG and R, as well as lost at the crossroads of inadvertent comedy and horror, the PG-13 Five Nights at Freddy’s has to go down as one of the poorest films in any genre this year.
As fan I think this is an okay movie but if I never heard the games or even played them I would probably not like this movie. But I really enjoyed this movie I feel like it's a good start for the first movie. I like the first part of the movie but when Mike takes Addy to the pizzeria that's when I was questioning the movie. But when Addy says I hate you mike and mike goes back to the pizzeria and Freddy, bonnie, Chica, and foxy attack him that's when the movie went back to what it was in the first half. Overall, The Five Nights at Freddy's movie is a 6/10 This movie was a mix bag of things I like a lot of stuff and I didn't like some other stuff Overall I didn't think it was good or bad it was a ok movie.

Where is Markiplier? Also could use more horror elements. I think this isn't a horror movie, just watch something else if you don't know the story.

Five Nights at Freddy’s sure is a movie. Yep. It…It definitely exists. And that actually is merit in itself cause this thing was first announced back in 2015. I knew about this film in middle school. I legit never thought I’d see the day when I could actually watch it, but…Now I have. And it isn’t very good. Not that I expected it to be, even back then. Video game tie-ins are already pretty rough, but horror adaptations are like a whole step above. Though calling this film horror feels like a lie cause it flat-out just isn’t scary. In fact its kinda stupid. Unless you’re a die-hard fan of this franchise I legit think there’s nothing here worth your time, cause I have never seen a movie this entirely dedicated to exclusively fans. The script is rough, the best actor in the movie is the little girl, and everything feels painfully surface level. While I respect this movie fine enough for finally making it over the finish line, and am happy fans got what they wanted out of it, I won’t pretend I get it.

I wanted to like this movie, but unfortunately, it fell quite short of expectations. I wanted to see something scarier with more blood and guts. Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised I didn't get that with a PG-13 rating. But the movie was far less than what it could have been, and the decision to tone it down ultimately is what prevented it from reaching those lofty heights.
