Roustabout revels delightfully in the arcane details of carny life.
Well at least we get to see him in more leather in this one. Though one could quite possibly live without it.
Slightly better than average Presley fare, Roustabout boasts a better cast than most of the King's films--with Stanwyck's presence lending the production status.
Unfortunately, the very thinnest of stories has been extracted from the colorful world of the carnival. The picture simply ambles around in a circle, getting nowhere.
The songs don’t offer much distraction from the silly story.
