This might not be what fans expect from an Exorcist movie, but they’ll be even more surprised that it’s actually watchable.
In some ways, The Exorcist: Believer feels tame when it comes to the full potential of its premise.

No es lo que pensé que sería en realidad es mala, pero creo que como toda la película de terror se volverá de culto y posiblemente también le veo un toque del exorcista o eso que hacía al exorcista especial

Far too much of this movie is a replay of scenes and plot elements that Friedkin’s film did better, and without CGI. The anticipated head-spinning and pea-soup vomit were far more effective with practical effects.
For all the promising threads it pulls on surrounding a variety of faith traditions, The Exorcist: Believer doesn't earn your belief or your fear. Where Friedkin's classic will endure forever, this superficial sequel remains stuck in the past. It may try to speak all the same verses, but it doesn't add new life to any of them.
Unlike Green’s Halloween trilogy, which served up diminishing returns with each new installment, Believer condenses that downward trajectory into the first chapter.
The Exorcist: Believer brushes up against an interesting notion—this time, the Catholic Church refuses to approve an official exorcism, citing concerns over the safety of the procedure. But the end result is not much different; it’s still a bunch of adults standing in a room yelling prayers and exhortations at possessed girls.
Director David Gordon Green fails to whip up even a fraction of the original 1973 chiller's menace in this sloppy, CGI-heavy farrago.

This film is horrible. The 2nd Act DRAGS for such a long time while the 1st act was good. Great performances from our 2 families and both of their daughters, creepy imagery but the 3rd act had moments that they didn’t dive into enough. 6.5/10 = C

The Exorcist: Believer could be a really really good direct sequel if just the pacing and the storytelling done better, because there is some impressive things about The Exorcist: Believer, which is the unique style of the film itself which was the film editing that i really like, the performances that was mostly good, the cinematography was great, and when they do scary things it works, the makeup, the voice editing was great, the problem here like i mention earlier was the pacing and the storytelling of the movie that i was not really a fan of, takes too many slow scenes and less the scary terrifying moments which what The Exorcist movie should be, and when the final climax of the film happens, i'm already tired and bored because of the slow build up fills with again too many slow scene and less scary terrifying moments, and it's not even bad and i still try to appreciate what happen on the screen specifically the climax of the film, the whole movie overall was not terrible and i just realized how i still pretty much invested to the story while still acknowledge all the flawed and lackness of it, there is also this random male priest in the movie that just have no personality and just terrible but (SPOILER!) the way he died was worth it, there is this clever twist at the end which i like, i don't like one character decision, the story overall could've been better, overall The Exorcist: Believer have potential to be a good direct sequel, have some impressive things in it, but it also lacking and flawed in terms of pacing and storytelling, it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great either.

Every aspect of this movie felt as needlessly forced as the existence of the movie itself. The potential for even a half way decent movie is lost to the focus being split between the 2 girls and Victor. Why ensure that Katherine looks so much like Regan only to overshadow her with another possed girl and then focus on Victor half the film? For what? Forced diversity? The conditions in which the girls become possessed is boring and unimaginative. The feeling is further lost with the blatant breaking of mutiple unspoken rules of cinema demonic possession, such as Katherine drenching herself in sacramental wine. Ellen Burstyn should have stayed clear of this disaster saving the franchise from being linked to this train wreck. The best actress in the movie ends up being the most pointless aspect, crammed in to the movie for the sake of being able to USE the Exercist name.
If they wanted to go the diversity route then a whole new story should have been imagined, absent of The Exercist name. If the movie was solely Victor and Angela's story with a Haitian based demon, possession and exorcism, this could have truly been a unique and diverse movie that would have resulted is something memorable for all audiences. At lest something new and watchable, unlike this disaster

Inane and soulless IP farming, with nothing new or interesting to offer in any department. All the Chris and Regan stuff was truly awful.
