The Marriage shows us this problematic side of love with no judgment, which is incredibly refreshing.
It is a relevant, relatable and rewarding snapshot of how a society grows crookedly around its unresolved secrets, in the same way that a marriage can.
Overall this is a solid portrait of time’s effect on what we miss, and how we miss.
The problem with The Marriage, a well-meaning but structurally lopsided first feature from Yugoslavian director Blerta Zeqiri, is that the marriage plot from the title is so much less interesting than the love plot at its core.
