Misleadingly titled, The Seduction is nothing if not lush -- but it also doesn't add up to much. Considering Fairchild's sensual presence, this may not matter. [26 Feb 1982, p.11]
An often comically inept, unsuccessfully vicious nonthriller about a beautiful young woman, her live-in lover and the crazy Peeping Tom who pursues the young woman neither wisely nor well.
The unsavory nature of the concept is softened to a considerable extent by the ridiculous nature of the depiction. The performers are obliged to stumble through such a prolonged, outrageous dance of death that the stupidity of it all tends to obscure the viciousness of it all. [26 Feb 1982, p.D3]
The only thing that differentiates this weak offering from a made-for-television feature are Fairchild's nude scenes, which are gratuitously worked in and add nothing to the story.
