What keeps it all from becoming high camp is the film’s eerie atmosphere and unsettling childlike quality, which sucks the viewer into a nightmarish alternate reality with such plainspoken innocence that we have no choice but to accept it at face value.
As senseless as the story is the film contains several memorably creepy scenes, as is to be expected from any film in which mannequins spring to life.

Gosto muito desse filme, foi um dos poucos filmes slasher que eu realmente me coloquei no lugar dos personagens e senti medo genuíno enquanto assistia. Os visuais são ótimos as atuações são boas na medida do possível, o antagonista é ótimo pra mim, icônico dms. Recomendo muito.

This movie very unique and really stands out in the Slasher Sub Genre in Horror, the supernatural killer has an awesome voice, the dinner scene is very comedic and I enjoyed it a lot, and the the sound design of the kills is phenominal and haunting! This one movie people should definitely check out! It's even one of Stephen King's favorites!

Tourist Trap is a cheesy but oddly unique and interesting slasher from the late 70s. It follows a group of teens who run into car troubles and soon after find themselves at the mercy of a serial killer with telepathic abilities who turns people into mannequins. While the film certainly runs a good 20 minutes too long and can be a bit boring at times, There is enough wackiness going on to make it worth checking out.
