Don't know how to write something without giving plot information away but I actually found this quite captivating up until the very last minute. Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Basically a soap opera at its core, but this British production soars like a classic. First class, both entertaining and thought provoking. Suranne Jones is captivating.
Amazing from beginning to end. I am a big Suranne Jones fan, but it has been heightened to even great levels after watching Dr. Foster. It was almost like the British TV version of Gone Girl, except she wasn't gone...
This is a pretty dark series but is extremely well done. The lead is terrific. There is some female empowerment theme here but also some complexity. Sometimes this works but sometimes not so much. The last segment is bit odd with some plot strands not exactly resolved and I was a bit cloudy on an overall message about relationships. But the show is absolutely gripping!
This show found me on tiktok, some page that posted clips of tv shows posted one of the penultimate dinner scene. Im so glad i followed through because this show is a blast, frankly im surprised it isn't more renowned. Suranne Jones delivers a terrifying performance as the scorned genius doctor who after discovering her husband's infidelity begins to unravel. Her performance is erratic, calculated yet rash and seething. It's beautifully delivered though leaving you at the edge of your feet in fear she might explode.
This is a ludicrously plotted piece of trash from the U.K. Which incredibly got a BAFTA award. "A diary of a mad G.P." To hell with ethics, boundaries, laws, on with the castration of nasty men. Who'd a thunk that a national health Doctor could have so much time to juggle a practice, a marriage, a child, and an ever spreading investigation into her husbands philandering, yet still find time to read the riot act to other errant doctors.
