One of my favourite shows! Desmond Harrington is a great addition to the marvelous other actors (Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu, Hill, and of course Quinn)! Clever cases, rather than stupid action.
I felt this was a decent season. What I liked about Elementary is that the mysteries are solidly crafted with inventive ideas often based on current inventions, government policies, etc.
Although I don't know how I feel about the actor who played the main antagonist, he does serve as a good foil for Sherlock. I especially liked the ending and how they did something that surprised and completely made sense in the retrospect.
So I'm watching the July 23, 2018 episode which has been building up to finding 2 people who have been kidnapped and suddenly we're told they were rescued off stage! Talk about anti-climactic! Instead we're lead to believe that it was much more important to make room for a supporting character to talk about a career change! I don't care that someone wants a different job and they are giving Sherlock a heads up. Bad storytelling. They've been giving much too much time to the "B" plots in episodes when the "B" plots are extraneous and uninteresting.
The show has become almost comatose now this season. The subplot of her having a child is ridiculous as she works night and day all hours in a dangerous profession so how can she be a mother ?
There used to be some fun moments but now they just wallow in drama.
Bring back the tortoise.
Meh... Kind of boring. Nothing exciting or compelling. Not controversial, but nothing new. I try to watch but it doesn’t hold my attention.
Decided to delete this from my weekly viewing list.
