The scattered misses are easy to digest and forgivable because of the other gifts Girls5eva bestows on us. .... Think of it as a show that’s been brought back to life and magnificently fine-tuned.
Girls5Eva doesn’t just make you laugh once, it keeps the laughs coming at a breakneck pace, and only gets funnier on rewatch.
For anyone craving more 30 Rock, this is officially the true successor. Girls5eva Season 3 is the most consistently funny the show has ever been.
The latest season of Girls5Eva took a risk by making a few significant changes to its formula, but it didn’t suffer for it. The fact is that the talented actresses in the group, along with the show’s funny-because-it’s-so-ridiculous writing and songs are as solid as they’ve ever been and keep the show’s frenetic pace moving.
Condensed to just six episodes from the first two seasons’ eight apiece, Season 3 acts more like a bite-sized preview of what “Girls5eva” could still become than a full delivery on its unrealized promise.
Unsurprisingly, the Meredith Scardino-created series hasn't lost its rhythm. However, its lesser episode count, and the too-frequent head-rearing of its new management, make it less charming than previous recording.
While Season 3 doesn't stray too far from its usual formula, there are plenty of moments that will delight fans of the show.
