In this spin off of Happy Days, newlyweds Al and Louisa Delvecchio move to Chicago from Milwaukee and open a family restaurant. With them is Louisa's son, Chachi Arcola. His girlfriend, Joanie Cunningham, spends the summer in Chicago to be with Chachi and, eventually, moves there to attend Northwestern University. Joanie and Chachi, along with band mates Bingo, Mario, and Annette, perform as the house band at Al and Louisa's restaurant while Mario and Annette's father (and Louisa's brother), Rico, manages them.
