Description: Married By America, FOX's unscripted reality series from the creators of the hit series Joe Millionaire, follows five singles who put their trust in the American viewing public to play matchmaker. These men and women and their potential spouses are successful in every aspect of their lives, except at finding a mate by conventional means. With the help of the viewers and relationship experts, five potential mates were handpicked for each of these men and women, however, they weren't able to meet before their engagement. Their friends and family members served to analyze each of these potential partners, discuss their lives, interests and intentions, and winnow them down. Then, the home audience was given the opportunity to weigh in and vote by phone to make the final decision as to which of these partners were the perfect match. Once face-to- face, the new couples embarked on a journey toward matrimony in hopes that they had indeed found their one true love.
