An unfortunate side-effect of the anomalies is that dinosaurs are moving through them and into the present time, making the team's investigations that much more stressful. Cutter's wife also disappears while investigating the anomalies and he makes it his mission to find and save her.

This series originally aired on ITV and begins on BBC America on August 9, 2008.

Primeval (which has already been renewed for a fifth season) doesn't ask you to think, just to enjoy the mayhem that follows when a rampaging behemoth is set loose anywhere in the United Kingdom. It's hard to find fault with a formula like that.

All the action is totally well done, the creatures are original and fantastic as usual, and the new characters rock. Ethan, the 19th-century serial killer, gives you chills. Emily is mysterious and brooding. And of course Matt. The conclusion to the season was great and I can't wait to watch season 5! Expand
