It's all quite sturdily built and well-acted, with characters one cares about.

Somewhere in this big pile of plot is a potentially enjoyable series, if the producers can figure out how to balance the week-to-week procedural elements of McDeere's court cases with the overarching mystery of his new associates' sinister secrets.

The Firm is part weekly procedural, part season-long conspiracy, and wholly unsatisfying.

Excellent suspenseful show befitting of a Grisham novel. Although the flashbacks style can be a bit irritating at times, nonetheless the writing, acting and plot lines are riveting, especially for network tv. Expand

The Firm is a suspenseful thriller which does a great job at expanding the story of the McDeere family. Of course its another instance of them getting involved with an overly-watchful and controlling firm, but it wouldn't be The Firm without it!! I think the casting is well thought out and acting is above average. The direction of the show is also well done and makes you wonder what will happen next. With all the boring reality shows that continue to pervade the tube, I am glad to see a show worth watching. Expand

  3. John Grisham may be turning in his grave if he had one...or least biting his lip for this DRY remake. Cancel! Left a review because I'm a Grisham and Firm admirer and hate to see something great get defaced. zzzzzz! Expand
