With its breadth of content, incredible amount of collectibles (even if their placement isn't as intuitive as I would like), and the new Assault game modes, this is one of the best Lego games created yet.
The game's replayability is arguably the greatest in recent gaming history, with so many reasons to keep going back, from the plethora of things to unlock, to the endless things to smash.
This game is fantastic. TT Games have always been solid when it comes to LSW games, and this is the case once again. It has extremely fun gameplay, which is something a lot of other LEGO games don't really have. The massive-scale battles are awesome.
The main problem is that even with the replay value in each level, you probably won't really feel like replaying everything again. Unless you're a true completionist, there's not much of a draw to replaying a level that's essentially the same thing as a number of other stages.
Traveller's Tales did a good job with the first Lego Star Wars. Since then they've just pressed the "repeat" button with new licenses. It's still good, but lacks new ideas.
Lego Star Wars III has some interesting, innovative concepts that sound great on paper, but they ultimately fall apart the moment the game gives you control. What you end up with is one of dullest entries in the entire series.
Lego Clone Wars nails the Lego look and sense of humor, but completely fails when it comes to evoking the lighthearted fun the series is known for. Surprisingly difficult and repetitious, it seems to be working against the player as hard as it can.
I played this amazing game on my ds when I was 5 years old. I just play the real game a LOT of years later. Fantastic. The only word that can describe this game. It's good to see that they put a lot of dedication on this game. The new mechanics, the new characters, the new maps, the new spaceships. Even the ds version is good, with the limits of the console, but it's still good. This is definitely the best Lego game ever made. Today, Lego Star Wars is getting old and bad, and this game is the prove that the Lego Star Wars franchise is one of the best Lego Video Games Franchises. I think this game needs the attention he doesn't have. But in general, I love this game, and a lot of people love it. 10 is my final note. Definitely 10.
Whether you measure this game on its graphics, its faithfulness to the source material, the many signs of creative effort that went into it, or the immense amount of content and innovative gameplay offered, I find it hard to justify any rating less than 9. It's a really great game, shockingly underrated in my opinion, still (in 2014) one of the very best lego games made. For co op fun, especially parent-child team ups, this cannot be beaten. The cartoon it is based on has some aspects parents might find objectionable (like occasional character death), but it can also be great fun to watch an episode of the show and then go play that same lego gamified story level in the game.
By far the best Lego title I have seen so far. With better graphics more realistic gameplay, New features and options. And remember this game is still for kids who will love this addition to the lego galaxy.
i thought i would be sick of these LEGO Star Wars titles by now (especially a cartoon based one), but it is a lot of fun. i really like the humongous battles featured within. nothing like hearing that familiar score while shooting droids.
More Lego fun with an old-school feel! As fun as this game is, it's much better played in co-op mode. The graphics and lighting are much improved, but the game still retains its old-school charm. Lots of cool new features, too. If you like Lego Star Wars, you will love this latest edition.
