Bird & Beans doesn't use the Nintendo DSi camera, microphone or even the second screen, but for $2, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better value in the DSi lineup.
People may scoff at the idea of Nintendo regurgitating a small idea from a previous retail release, yet for 200 Points Pyoro proves to be one of the most addictive action puzzle titles on the already impressive DSiWare download service.
I'd rather get some fresh new projects on DSi instead of recycled microtransactions, but at least the content in Bird & Beans is fun, frantic, and certainly worth two bucks.
There are probably free Flash games on the Internet that approximate these games. It's best to save your Nintendo Points and wait for something worthwhile.
Summary[DSiWare; Also known as "Pyoro"] Using an elastic tongue, players must scramble to collect falling beans. The harder a bean is to catch, the more points it's worth. [Nintendo]
